The Huge Hype Stringing Contest seems like its taken forever! There were many steps involved to find the very best. We narrowed many entries down to ten, took a while to pick our top three, sent those finalists some Hypes to string and explain and published the instructions. Then we got the finished heads to Gary Gait and Chris Heim at STX so that they could give them a going over and make a decision. And here we are! We put random labels on each of our three finalist heads before we sent them down to Gary and Chris at STX for judging. They had no idea who from where strung what. Chris Hiem designed the Hype so he loved and appreciated all the specific attention paid to the Hype's unique configuaration by the stringers. Gary is pretty choosy and liked each design but picked one of the three as his favorite without too much trouble. Chris and I each chose our favorite and we voted. AND THE WINNER IS...
