2008 Hot Dish Classic
Brooklyn Park, MN

Hot-dish making contest and lacrosse tournament to raise money for American Cancer Society.

The MN Chapter of US Lacrosse is proud to announce the dates for the 2008 the Hot-Dish Classic Lacrosse Tournament, a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. Games will be played on Saturday & Sunday, Oct 11-12th at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN. This event celebrates Minnesota lacrosse, the Hot-dish casserole (our State’s symbol of comfort food) and supports the fight against cancer.

Fund raiser for the American Cancer Society....Almost everyone in the lacrosse community has lost a loved one to cancer. The Hot-Dish is our way to help support a cure for cancer and celebrate the sport we all love. Proceeds from team fees, donations at the fields and parking lots, the Hot-dish Smorgasbord, and T-Shirt sales all go to support the cause.

NOTRE DAME vs. WEST POINT….We are also excited to announce that division one Men’s lacrosse is coming to Minnesota for the first time. The new ownership of the MN Swarm has arranged for the University of Notre Dame and the West Point Men’s lacrosse teams to play an exhibition game in the NSC Stadium on Saturday Oct 11th at 1 PM as part of the Hot-Dish. Ticket costs are still being determined, but will be around $10 for adults and $7 for students. The exhibition field next to the stadium will also feature scrimmages all day between UM-Duluth, Notre Dame and West Point. For more details about the game and coaches clinic visit http://www.mnswarm.com.
